Orchestras Esperanza Azteca turns five year old changing lives

Five years ago, 201 children, from underprivileged backgrounds surprised Mexico by demonstrating that in 10 months they had learned t read music, play a symphonic instrument and perform music from classic authors. Today, Esperanza Azteca has changed the lives of more than 16,000 kids with more than 80 orchestras.

Ricardo Salinas, Eric Garcetti and Andrew Nicou jointly launched the first Orchestra Esperanza Azteca in the United States, hosted by their similar from Ciudad Juarez who gave their musical instruments to the 200 children who are now Esperanza Azteca Los Angeles. Though this, Esperanza Azteca reaches 70 orchestras and choirs in Mexico and El Salvador, changing the lives of over 14,000 children. We expect to implement the program throughout the United States.
